Always Something...

...to be thankful for.  Don't you agree?

In my neck of the woods, the heat has been unbearable.  I'm usually fond of warm weather and am miserable when cold, but this week has been brutal.  And I had no opportunities to dive into a pool.  But as I was driving home from grocery shopping (fun stuff, right?) I had my window down and the music playing.  It was a perfect night for a drive.  The sun had set, and a cool breeze was stroking my face.  Such a simple pleasure.  Nights like that I wish I could just keep driving.  But more household chores were beckoning.  Bummer.

Hope everyone is staying cool!

  4. A great scene you created there. Makes me want to hop in the car and take a drive to whoknowswhere. But as you say, real life beckons. Writer’s Mark

  6. Actually, I am not (staying cool in Arkansas). But I surely like your "Leitmotif" of living, loving, laughing, leaving, wishing, missing, kissing, hugging, fighting, crying, trying--and hope to follow well, almost all of them. It's not for want of dreaming (especialy the kissing and hugging part), but time has caught up with me.

For you, however, keep up the dream--and especially the writing.

  11. Those are perfect nights that make you wish you could get lost in that feeling - a feeling of a great vacation - and drive on forever, or at least until you've gotten tired of a rambling life and then are not bummed to go back to daily chores. Great celebration.
